A PERSONAL MESSAGE
Over the last twenty years, I’ve had the opportunity to interview or work with hundreds of retirees, widows and independent women. What I discovered is that many sincere hard working people are simply not prepared for the challenging life transitions that will naturally occur throughout their lives. Some said they meant to plan ahead, but never seemed to find the time. While others thought it could never happen to them…and then their life changed forever.
All life transitions present unique challenges. The thought of retirement or receiving an inheritance can have us feeling energized, excited and open to new possibilities. While the death of a spouse or a loved one can leave us feeling shocked, empty and unsure of what to do next.
Unfortunately, the most devastating issue surrounding any life transition is that it creates the opportunity to make unintentional - yet irreversible - financial mistakes. That’s because most life transitions require us to make important financial decisions within a very short timeframe. And this can create pressure and anxiety…at precisely the wrong time.
When critical financial decisions need to be made, many people say they don’t know who to trust for unbiased advice and information. By default, they often seek the advice of trusted friends and family members. The only problem is most well-meaning friends and family members do not have the training and experience to properly advise them – and often create more problems than solutions. Others seek out qualified experts (Attorney, CPA, investment broker, insurance agent, etc), but they don’t know where to find them, how much they charge or if they’re qualified.
Many people say they are looking for a primary financial coordinator – somebody who can help them organize and manage the multi-dimensional aspects of their financial life. When a life transition presents itself, they want an experienced advisor who can help them choose the best potential solutions for them. They want a clear plan of action and straight forward advice, from a trusted financial decision partner.
If you are facing a major life transition – such as the death of a spouse, divorce, retirement, or receiving an inheritance – I understand what you’re going through. I’ve experienced the emotional and financial stress surrounding the death of a loved one, and I have helped many clients successfully navigate the conflicting life and financial choices surrounding retirement, a job change or receiving an inheritance.
If you’re willing to invest an hour of your time, I would be willing to sit down with you to answer your questions – to listen to your story and to understand your situation. No sales pitch or technical discussions, just a friendly, meaningful conversation.
My mission is to ensure that every financial decision you make, will be completely aligned with your most important financial goals and your most deeply held personal values. If this is the kind of relationship you are looking for, maybe we should talk. Our initial meeting is offered at no cost or obligation to qualified individuals.
Please feel free to give me a call today. I look forward to talking with you.
Sincerely,
Joel Beyer
